Carrie is an artist who intuitively works with hair - creating natural, effortless, sexy and organic styles for her clients of all ages and walks of life. She intentionally works with each client’s unique hair texture, face shape and story to create lasting, expressive styles. Carrie specializes in both scissors and razors to coax out the natural flow and expression of the hair. Carrie is inspired by the ocean, the sun and forest as well as the streets of New York City.

Vera Lux, which means “true light” (Vera was also Carrie’s grandmothers name) uses only plant-based, synthetic fragrance-free, earth friendly products and is a 100% clean-air salon. Located in inner East Portland, Oregon, the salon is a private, sun filled space flowing with fresh air, flowers and radiant plants.
